Before I ever picked up a camera, I was a STORYTELLER.
I’m Maritza, a romance-focused Chicago Boudoir Photographer based in Bloomingdale, IL. As a storyteller, I have written brand copy for many female-led brands (as seen at Target and Nordstrom).
In 2023, I wanted to work with female clients directly and launched Amélie Boudoir to create accessible aspirational bridal boudoir and empowering portraits of women. The type of boudoir photography I longed for didn’t exist when I was getting married and I became determined make it a reality.
With a B.A. and M.A. in Psychology, I’ve always been able to connect with others and give words to the unspoken. Communication in both written and visual form is where I excel.
